A way of enjoying slow food

Offered by only one third of our colleagues, this service is required by a large majority of our guests.
Soir d'été Une table en été

Respectful towards the real spirit of "French tables d'hôtes", we cook ourselves fresh local food and eat with you, indoors or outdoors according to the season and the weather.

If you ask it when reserving a meal, we shall consider your particularities (allergy, vegetarian food, diet etc).
During high season, dinners occur on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. They must be booked ahead (at least the day before).
During the low season, they can occur on Saturday as well, according to our work and family obligations.

Nice tableware, conviviality and a family cooking art opened to all kind of flavours, herbs and spices...

Lamb , poultry and rabbit from the farm, eggs from our hen house , snails from the garden...

, musles from Charron, oysters from Marennes-Oléron, eels from the Marais Poitevin...
Vegetables from Surgères market
, organic for most part,, fruits from our orchard or from the market...
Goat and cow local cheeses
and the famous Surgères butter... Home made jams, country honeys... Leaven breads...

Sometimes, children eat first so that they can play or sleep during adults dinner. Sometimes, we all eat together, depending on the total number of guests. We can adapt menus to the youngest' preferences and appetite... without sacrifying discovery and taste education... For babies, you may use the little kitchen corner : cold water fountain, fridge, 2 hot plates, micro-wave oven, dish and utensils, high chairs...

It's a good way to meet people of all kinds and find new friends sometimes.
 It is highly recommended by the Medical Faculty to fight against grub, fast food, boring meals and bad temper !!!
